Large C Track Linear Rail Extrusion

Discover our premium aluminum C-track heavy-duty extrusion, engineered for the most demanding applications. This versatile profile is ideal for crafting larger CNC machines, large-format 3D printers, as well as plasma and laser cutting machines. Traditional C-beam 4080 extrusions often suffer from excessive deflection when used in larger CNC machinery, rendering them impractical.

That’s precisely why we’ve introduced this robust C-aluminum extrusion, complete with a range of accessories, including gantry plates, end plates, nuts, and lead screws, tailored specifically for this aluminum guide rail profile.

Our C-section extrusion draws inspiration from the OpenBuilds original C-beam rails but stands out with its increased size, width, and weight (approximately twice the weight of a standard C-Beam). Moreover, our gantry plate is sturdier (8mm thickness compared to the original 6mm) and more substantial (165x118mm compared to OpenBuilds’ 125x125mm Xlarge plate).

The gantry plate can accommodate 8 “W” Delrin or Xtreme roller wheels, fastened to the plate with larger M6 bolts (as opposed to OpenBuilds’ M5 bolts). This setup results in superior rigidity and reduced deflection. Notably, one side of the “W” wheels features eccentric spacers, allowing for precise wheel positioning and eliminating any play.

For added versatility, our gantry plates can also be used as double-sided plates (refer to the photo gallery) to create a robust “closed-up” gantry system. This feature proves invaluable, especially in CNC machinery environments where dust and milling chips are prevalent. Closed systems minimize the risk of contaminants infiltrating leadscrews and bearing tracks. If end plates are required for this setup, please don’t hesitate to contact us, and we can provide suitable plates upon request.
